We've been at the hospital for the last 3 weeks and only got home on Saturday. This wasn't planned at all but after 2 days of chemo, Jacob developed a fever which stayed for a week. We've been in isolation for nearly 2 weeks and then we finished the chemo block. Those three weeks have been very exhausting for me and I am glad to be home. There is so much work for me to finish around the house and garden. I have planted strawberries and onions the we454ek end before we went to the hospital (and I am glad I did). I still need to butcher the rabbits this week and prepare the second garden bed. Anything else is maintenance that can be done during winter month if I don't find time now.
I am not sure how stressful thing will be in December, so yesterday we decided to take a break from everything and bake cookies. We had so much fun and the boys really got into it, both baking and decorating, and eating of course. We made two different kind of traditional German Christmas cookies and I am looking forward to making some more soon.
