It's the end of another decade and what a decade it has been, I moved back to Germany, became a mom to twin boys, lost my mom, lost friends, made new friends.
We had a quiet New Years eve. I was home alone with the kids and the animals. Johan my Au pair is in Bremen and my brother is at his mates house. The kids and me had popcorn and played many games before they went to bed at their regular bed time. I went to watch Dinner for One and fell asleep half way through. Woke up again to switch TV channels and fall asleep again, went to bed at 10:30pm. Woke up for the fireworks at midnight and watched them for a little bit. So all in all a quiet peaceful night.
For the good times, I am grateful.
For the hard times, I trust they are part of a bigger plan.
For the unknown that lies ahead, I am hopeful.
Thank you 2019, for all that you were and all that you weren't.
