The last few weeks

The last few weeks have been very challenging. Jacob is in his (hopefully) second to last block of chemo. The medication he is on at the moment (apart from the chemotherapy) is quite strong. The block is pretty much a mirror block to the first block, just a different cortisone medication, so symptoms are pretty much the same as in August last year. He is constantly hungry, has no energy, is very moody and whiny and wants to sleep all the time (right now it's just before 4pm and he voluntarily went to bed for the night). That also means he will wake up early tomorrow (4am most likely), will be hungry and most likely the night is over by then. And this is pretty much going on for the last few weeks. It's been draining for me and I am reaching both physical and mental limits to be honest.we have just started to reduce the medication and hopefully in 2 weeks time things will be back to normal.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, very warm and Niklas and me spend a good 3 hours outside in the garden. HE was playing and I was working. Jacob was out for 30 minutes too but was just tired and not motivated to do anything, then went back inside. I love how my crocus are coming out, it feels so much like spring, I have to constantly remind myself that it's only February and not to start my seeds too early. I am nearly finished with the flower beds in the garden. Still need to finish preparing 2 raised beds and a bit in the vegetable garden but I am getting there and can't wait for spring to come.
